The US Protects Itself with Anti-Radiation Drugs 2022

The strategic preparedness and response department of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued a statement last Tuesday announcing the purchase of anti-radiation drugs that contribute to the treatment of diseases caused by nuclear radiation.

According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail,” the US Department of Health paid about 290 million dollars to buy the medication known as Nplate, which coincided with Vladimir Putin’s threats to deploy nuclear weapons on Ukraine.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), nuclear weapons can cause Ars radiation syndrome, a serious condition, the initial symptoms of which appear after minutes or days are the following signs:

Depending on the radiation dose the body was exposed to, the effects of this illness vary from patient to patient. If it is high, there is a higher chance of serious problems like cancer, internal bleeding, and bone marrow destruction, which can be fatal.

In addition, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized the use of the medication Nplate in 2008, 14 years ago, for the treatment of an autoimmune condition that results in life-threatening bleeding.

And in January of last year, the government again approved the use of the medicine Nplate as a reliable treatment for the harmful effects of radiation on both children and adults.

In response, potassium iodine pills, which can help prevent the absorption of nuclear radiation, are being prepared in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, and evacuation centers.
